There are many sources of individual differences in aging: biological factors, health-related factors, sociobehavioral factors, and other factors, including chance. Although it is not possible to analyze chance, we did analyze biological and health and nutrition-related factors to investigate what associations with cognitive aging could be determined. In this chapter, we discuss our findings regarding biological factors, and in chapter 7 (see record 2008-15310-008) we discuss our health and nutrition-related findings. Abstract
