Abstract
This chapter considers the legitimate logical and scientific conclusions to be derived from the existence in man of a dual mind. Every faculty of the mind has its use or function. Topics discussed in this chapter include faculties of the mind and their functions, faculties of the soul, psychic differentiation between man and brutes (animals inferior to man), ego altruism, self-sacrifice, and conditions precedent to the attainment of immortality.
