Köhler replies to comments made by G.E. Müller on Gestalt theory. On the basis of his own [associationistic] theory of whole phenomena in perception G. E. Müller launches a vigorous attack against the methods of working which characterize the Gestalt theory. The polemic is unduly simplified by Müller's failure even to mention some of the essential doctrines of his opponents while at the same time falsely attributing to them assumptions which they do not themselves make.
