Eye-Tracking

Eye-Tracking Eye-tracking has historically been proposed as a tool toprovide insight into pilot performance, although its transition from scientificcuriosity to a practical device has been challenging. Advancing technology hasrecently opened the possibility of deploying eye-tracking measurements foroperational use in flight training, thus allowing for improved understanding ofpilot monitoring strategies. This aims to support a more focused development forboth new trainees and experienced pilots in recurrent training. The paperoutlines the cooperative progress made in developing an emergingeye-tracking-based training solution for contemporary airline pilot training. Itshares selected findings from three studies conducted and discusses thepotential, challenges, and lessons learned so far. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Aviation Psychology and Applied Human Factors American Psychological Association
