Abstract: Concepción Morell Nicolao (1864-1906) was one of the women who maintained an intense and profound relationship with Benito Pérez Galdós, which is reflected, especially, in their interesting epistolary exchanges. Even though there are various studies of her life, she is still practically unknown, a figure about whom clichés continue to be repeated, which obscure her complex personality. In our biographical study, though summary, we highlight her life, and some of the moments that determined her existence, and how her life encountered that of one of the most significant Spanish authors of her time.
