This volume presents the proceedings of the conference Aspects of Ancient Greek Cult II: Architecture – Context – Music, held at the University of Copenhagen on 4–6 May, 2012 in honor of Professor Erik Hansen.The conference, which was organized by Kristine Winter Jacobsen, Peter Schultz, Spencer Pope, and Jesper Tae Jensen, was generously supported by the Carlsberg Foundation, the Centre for Textile Research (CTR), the SAXO Institute at the University of Copenhagen, the Departments of Classics and Art at Concordia College, Moorhead, Minnesota (in honor of Deloris [Fischbein] Amsden’s life-long love of art), the Department of Classics, McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Theran Press, and the Danish Institute for Mediterranean Studies (DIOMEDES).Many people have been involved in the process of organizing the conference and publishing the present book.
