General Remarks The Baltic Bio-Bibliography is conceived as a survey of names of international lawyers from the Baltic region, without temporal limitation. The names are presented first in a country synopsis, and then in concise bio- bibliographies arranged in alphabetical sequence. A short note on F.F. Martens (1845-1909), a most eminent international lawyer of Baltic history, is added to the survey. 1.2. Aims and Purposes of the Survey The aims and purposes of the survey are the following: - (i) to identify the names of international lawyers of or from the countries of the Baltic region, past and present; - (ii) to record summary biographical information about the persons whose names are identified; - (iii) to indicate resources relevant to international law scholarship and practice that are accessible for further reference and research; and thereby - (iv) to stimulate interest, to provide a necessary starting point and to invite further contributions in http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Baltic Yearbook of International Law Online Brill
