Application of Environmental Information Systems in Environmental Impact Assessment (in Hungary) AbstractThe primary research aim was to explore the possibilities of transferring relevant data from information systems and databases required for practical environmental impact assessment. The necessary and adequate data content of environmental impact studies were defined according to legal regulations, expert recommendations as well as available impact studies. Furthermore, the data content of information systems pertinent to environmental impact analysis were investigated in view of data transmission. Disposing of the primary data required for impact studies, the classification of environmental objects (object class, object group, object type) was performed.
