A Brief History of Creative Work and Plutonomy: Precarity and Millennial Apathy [If the youngsters of today in their twenties and thirties were asked about their aims and aspirations of living life, mostly, all of them would answer with a blunt statement: “I don’t know”; or would express their inability to think clearly on this. Certainly, most of them could not have any idea on how to plan their future with hopes and aspirations. The emerging precarity in the globalized world is adversely influencing their thoughts seriously. But, this disinterested and apathetic attitude of the postmodern millennials would worry, startle and perplex their parents’ generation and the civil society deeply,.  It is argued here that historically, for the last 70,000 years, it is only through “creative work” that humans have grown intellectually and rationally, not otherwise. Lack of creative work would destroy life’s inner essence and the inner urge for seeking wellbeing, human flourishing, and happiness.
