[Horizontal agreements between competitors are normally associated with cartels but can refer to any anti-competitive agreements. Vertical agreements on the other hand are usually efficiency enhancing. In this chapter the clauses of Section (3)(3) horizontal agreements and Section (3)(4) on vertical agreements are examined with decisions of the Competition Commission of India applying the economic tools of analysis of Chapter 2.
