[This chapter will provide an overview of the various types of benign and malignant papillary lesions with a focus on diagnosis in a core biopsy sample. In almost all cases, benign and malignant papillary lesions will be excised, so a conservative approach in the core biopsy setting is prudent. This is particularly true in assessing the presence or absence of an invasive component in a malignant lesion, which is usually easier to assess when the whole lesion can be seen. Clinical presentations, imaging features, and differential diagnoses for these lesions will also be reviewed.]
