Abstract

[This chapter outlines existing standards, regulations and guidelines addressing the use of RCAs for the production of structural concrete. Particularly, the attention is focused on the Italian relevant code provisions, but also other regulations are considered. The most remarkable cases concern countries in which waste disposal represents a crucial problem due to morphological and environmental conditions, such as Hong Kong and North European countries, or industrial countries that have promoted a new urbanisation process (e.g. Germany during the last few decades). However, also the United States and Australia are mentioned as they show a growing interest about sustainable concrete waste reusing.]
