[In his monumental Science and Civilisation in China, Joseph Needham focuses on mathematics in subsections (a) to (k) of section 19 in volume III. After evaluating the characteristics and contributions of ancient Chinese mathematics, Needham turns in the tenth subsection: (j) Influences and Transmissions.
