Abstract

[The simple model of Ch. 8, solely based on the main hypothesis, enabled calculating the lifetime, or permanence, of ‘genomes’ consisting of symbol sequences. Taking the subsidiary hypothesis into account as well as the results of Ch. 8 led in Ch. 9 to a qualitative description of a less simple, but more realistic, model of the living world.
