[Marcelino was murdered for being Guatemalan—a hate crime like in Charleston, South Carolina June 2015. Like every human being with dignity and respect, Marcelino deserves the eulogy of presidential proportions. Paulo Freire had a deep faith in people. Faith in a better world and possibility as our title suggests. Obama (2015) says, “They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on Earth.” This eulogy is now given for two incidents of hate crimes within ninety days of each other in the spring and summer of 2015—a snapshot in time.]
