The methodology utilized is Qualitative with semi structured interviews conducted with retired military personnel with approximately thirty (30) years of active service. Analysis was done through the lens of Routine Activities Theory to provide a framework for sound and distinctive crime analysis that enables the application of realistic policies and practices geared at improving the various factors that may have created an environment which supports the possibility of the illicit gun trade.]
