[It is believed that ICT has a fundamental influence on the teaching and learning, and many best practices are emerging in different countries. However, there is a challenge on how to scale up these cases to reap the benefits of ICT in education in a large scale. This challenge motivates this book to critically understand the emerging best practices to promote ICT in education. First, the literatures on case studies of ICT in education was analyzed in this chapter; then the general development trends of ICT in Education was discussed; after that, an analysis and evaluation framework of CIPO (four dimensions of analysis and evalution—Context, Input, Process and ouput) was introduced.
