[Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives remain vitally important in educational contexts, irrespective of local, global, or glocal focii. However, adopting pedagogical practices that best address DEI-related concerns is not without the potential for controversy, especially when politicized worldviews intersect with our efforts as critical educators. A special focus will be given to the three main stakeholders in the educational endeavor—building leadership, parents, and students. Throughout this chapter, advice on how to navigate these negotiations will be provided, as well as recommendations for how to leverage the buy-in of one stakeholder group when engaging in DEI-related negotiations with another.]
