[This first chapter serves as the introduction to this volume in which the researcher describes both the history and the current state of pentecostal higher education. The author’s aim is to propose a missiology of higher education with pentecostal distinctives that enables pentecostals to be influential in society by developing their own colleges and universities. Furthermore, in order to explain the academic framework of this study, the author addresses the following parameters: (1) delimitations and definitions, (2) his perspective and personal bias as a researcher, and (3) the significance and contributions of this work.]
