Abstract
[This autobiographical account of working in the complex realm of educational research built on influences of Joe L. Kincheloe as a critical and recursive force probes the power of reflection on teaching and learning. A deepening understanding and appreciation of Kincheloe’s contributions to the fields of educator and educational researcher preparation are illustrated in critical philosophical frameworks. Highlighted is an importance of Kincheloean bricolage as a tool for researching and reporting on educational experiences in their specific contexts.]
