[In this short introduction I describe using vignettes the connection between various disciplines such as art, philosophy, and anthropology to science and then suggest curriculum studies needs to develop a similar relationship with science. I briefly discuss the meaning of a democracy and describe that interludes will introduce each section. The sections include a chapter on the history of science studies writing, two chapters on rhetoric and science, a chapter on the rise of neoliberalism and the need to change our understanding of expertise, two chapters on (post)colonial science, a chapter on feminism and science, and a final chapter on Nietzsche’s philosophy of science. References appear after each chapter.]
