[Soaring costs and declining quality and availability are pressing governments to reform Healthcare. More scalable and cost-effective approaches are being sought by exploring technological advances in devices, sensors, and interconnectivity. Specifically, to improve the quality and affordability of health care for all, new point-of-care delivery methods are being engineered and developed. Various technologies could help by extending treatment and care beyond traditional clinical settings into personal and home settings. However, creating such a personal telehealth ecosystem requires high degree of interoperability.
