AUDITORY PERCEPTION & COGNITION https://doi.org/10.1080/25742442.2023.2199507 Auditory Perception & Cognition Call for Papers: Special Topic Auditory Learning and Training Auditory learning occurs following experience and practice with many different types of stimuli, including speech. Auditory learning has been documented across the lifespan from infancy to old age, but its function among adult listeners remains debated. Auditory Perception & Cognition (AP&C) is putting out this general call for papers; the journal is interested in publishing across several issues a series of papers about auditory learning, its roles, and how it may change across the lifespan. The journal seeks papers that address the following issues: (1) The function(s) of auditory learning in human cognition; (2) changes in auditory learning and its function(s) across the lifespan; (3) timescales of learning; (4) similarities and differences between auditory learning and learning in the other sensory modalities; (5) learning in groups with hearing or language impairment; and (6) potential uses of auditory learning for remediation and instruction. As with all the papers submitted to AP&C, contributing authors will not be restricted with respect to the type of article that they choose to submit. This means that the journal welcomes both empirical and theoretical work, as well
