Abstract
Summary Derolathrus subtilis n. sp. (Coleoptera: Jacobsoniidae) is described from New Caledonia. Derolathrus troglophilus (Sen Gupta, 1979) is also recorded for the first time from this territory. Until now, within the family Jacobsoniidae, only the genus Sarothrias Grouvelle, 1918 was known from New Caledonia: S. pacificus Ślipiński & Löbl, 1995. A key to species of Derolathrus is presented.
